FAQ

Common questions.

Do I need a Hub? +
For phone notifications when away from home, yes. Pair it with Hub 2 or Hub 3. For nearby Bluetooth-only status checks, no.
Will it stick to my metal gate? +
Yes — 3M VHB adhesive sticks to metal, wood, glass.
Can I use it on cabinets or drawers? +
Yes. As long as the sensor and magnet can sit close together when closed, it can monitor cabinet doors, drawers, windows, and similar open/close points.
Two-piece design — does both pieces need batteries? +
No. Only the sensor side has electronics. The magnet side is passive.
